Our story.

Pitch is Scotland’s international conference of hip hop and underground culture.

27-29 August 2025 at Drygate Brewery, Glasgow, UK.

Pitch Scotland is presented by the country's new music champions the Scottish Alternative Music Awards (SAMA). Pitch has evolved from a successful pilot event and research project called HANG (Hip-Hop Aimed Networking with Grime) which took place in July 2021.

The Pitch three-day programme will includes international showcases, plus industry panels, speed meetings, open mic, DJ sets, movement, and dance. Throughout the year PITCH also present at key music industry events such as FOCUS Wales (UK), Future Echoes (Sweden), New Skool Rules (Netherlands), Cranium Festival (Canada), Pro Weekend (Spain).

Pitch is ran in partnership with Creative Scotland, and Glasgow Convention Bureau.

Special thanks go to AiiTee, Aiysha, Donna Boyd, Mobolaji Agoro, Steg G, Sanjeev Mann, and Sean Focus for their contributions to the focus groups. Additionally, gratitude is extended to the external 2023-24 Showcase Decision Making Process group, who selected showcase artists from over 200 entries. This team included Kayleigh Robin (Resonate Music Conference), Umong Shah (Fortitude Music/Future Echoes), SkyyBoii (AOK Events), and Sami Omar (Up2stndrd).
